Engaged

It is no secret that I am not the best blogger and then try to catch up when I can! This is a perfect example of that because Natalie and Ben are already married as of a couple weeks ago so I figured it was about time I share their engagement pictures we took this past January :)) They are soon adorable together and made my job super easy because their chemistry is amazzzzzing! Here is what Natalie has to say about how they started dating and how they got engaged: “We met during our freshman year at High Point University. After admiring each other from afar at freshman bible study, we finally clicked at a retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains in November 2013. We slowly got to know each other over the next few months by spending time together whenever we had the chance. On January 27th, 2014, after a long night in the library (doing more talking than studying), Benjamin walked me back to my dorm room and asked me to be his girlfriend! Over the past three years of our relationship, we had spent every New Years Eve together, switching off between Portland and Orlando. This year, it was his turn to come to Portland so I was disappointed to hear that Ben had a family conflict for that weekend. About a week before New Years Eve, Benjamin called me saying his family trip was cancelled and he would do whatever he could to make it to Portland- little did I know, he had his Portland flights booked all along! On the afternoon of December 30th, 2016, Ben and I made plans to get a drink downtown with friends, prior to the “holiday party” my parents were throwing at my house that evening. After a long happy hour, we were rushing back home to make it to the party on time when my mom called me frantically, telling me that she forgot to pick up the wine for the party and we needed to stop at Oswego Hills Vineyard on our way home. Confused, we pulled into the winery and Ben assured me that we would find the case of wine that was waiting for us- but I wasn’t so sure since there was no one to be found on the property. Confident, Ben led the way around a corner where we came to a gazebo, beautifully decorated with lanterns, string lights, flower petals, and photos strung up of memories from the past three years together. It was better than I ever imagined and I am so grateful that Ben had a photographer there to catch the whole thing! After the proposal, we returned to my house and celebrated with friends and family!”

I cannot wait to share their gorgeous wedding images with you all soon!!
