Is it not the best thing when things just align so perfectly?! That is exactly what happened with Marika and Jon! I actually went to high school with the two of them and was sooo excited when I got an email from Marika telling me that she and Jon had moved to North Carolina and were getting married in California but wanted their engagement pictures done in NC..it worked out so perfectly that I would be able to do both! After shooting a wedding in NC the day before, I hopped on a direct flight to LAX and got in the morning of Marika and Jon’s wedding and was soooo happy to finally be shooting a wedding in non humid weather (which I know Marika and Jon were thankful for too)! They ended up having the most perfect wedding day at The Nixon Library in Yorba Linda and I loved everything about it although I think my favorite thing was right after Jon’s vows, Marika was so moved by them that she leaned in to give him a kiss and pulled back an inch away knowing that they were not suppose to kiss quite yet! Marika and Jon..thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding and I cannot wait to see where life and the military takes you although I am sad you are leaving NC!
