When you think of October, what do you think of? I think of beautiful crisp, sunny days with colorful fall leaves changing on the trees. Well, this past October in North Carolina was NOT like that thanks to a hurricane that lasted about two weeks and gave us 12 days of straight rain with no sunshine. You can imagine how Ashlee felt when she found out she was not going to get that sunny day she always dreamed of but luckily she was getting married at the beautiful Leslie Alford Mims House in Holly Springs, NC and they had a back up plan! Ashlee and David’s wedding got moved to under the portico and their reception dinner inside and their wedding was just as beautiful as you could ever imagine! I LOVED the purple Ashlee incorporated into her fall wedding and it helped that The Mims House had some beautiful purple furnitiure to match! If it rains on your wedding day, do not be discouraged! Beautiful pictures are still possible and it makes for a fun experience! PLUS you get to use some cute clear umbrellas AND at the end of the day, you get to marry your best friend and that is all that really matters, right?!
