What would you do if you found out that week before your wedding that your venue burnt down?! Don’t think that would ever happen?? Well it happened to Kenzie and Danny and instead of it ruining the week of their wedding, they were optimistic and found a new venue! In the early morning of May 8, The Citadel Beach Club unfortunately caught fire and Kenzie and Danny heard the devastating news while they were sitting in church that morning. Danny got the text first about the fire and brought Kenzie out of church and told her the news and with one big sigh, they knew it was time to figure out a back up plan! Kenzie headed down to Charleston the next morning and met with the owners of The Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, South Carolina, and by that afternoon, it was booked and 6 days later, that is where they had their wedding and I honestly think that it could not have been prettier! With the ceremony space right off the beach, and the reception space overlooking the ocean, everything about their day was beyond perfect, not to mention a glorious 73 degree day! Kenzie and Danny were also rockstars and woke up super early the day after their wedding so we could take some more pictures of them in Charleston and I think it was definitely worth it!! Kenzie and Danny are two of the sweetest people and value each other so much that they did not let the news about the fire get them down because they knew one way or another, come May 15, they were going to be married and that was alllllll that mattered!!!
