Oh my mercy!! Pop the champagne!! Cue the glitter!! I am soo excited to announce that Six Foot Photography is growing and we are officially adding the first ever member to the team (besides me, Amber, of course 🙂 ) Meet Krista!!!

I could not have asked for a better person to join the team..Krista is as sweet as can be, fun and is amazzzing behind the camera (and in front of the camera too)! Krista is actually one of my Six Foot Brides and is getting married next May and I can.not.wait. What is Krista’s role with Six Foot Photography you ask? Great question!! Krista is going to be my permanent second shooter (which is great because she knows exactly how I work), and when couples add on video to their packages..she will be the one doing that! Eventually you will also be able to hire out Krista for weddings as well!! Basically Krista is a jack of all trades and is going to keep me sane this year as it is my busiest year to date! Krista and I share a LOVE for Chick-fil-A (or maybe she just humors me and always goes with me when I ask) and is the best travel partner and co pilot for all of the traveling we have already done this year!! I can go on and on about Krista but I will let Krista do the rest so you can get to know her and her amazing heart!! Where are you from?
I am born and raised in Cary, North Carolina! It’s basically right next to Raleigh and I never want to live anywhere else!

What inspires you?
Although lots of things inspire me, the thing that seems to inspire me most is making other people happy! It brings me so much joy to make someone else smile. It’s so inspiring to know that what I do for a living brings joy to other people. There is no better feeling in the whole entire world.

What is something that no one knows about you?
I used to race BMX bicycles for 8 years. I would travel all around the country, and even to Paris, France, to race my bicycle competitively! I stopped when I was in 8th grade because of an injury, but I do miss it every day!

When you are not doing photography, what do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and my family! Anything and everything with them I enjoy. Everything from walking around the local farmers market, to going to the lake on the boat for the day, to just hangin’ out on the couch and doing absolutely nothing all day long!

What is your favorite food?
I know this is super weird, but my favorite food is pickles! Ever since I was a little girl I have had a weird obsession with pickles. I could eat them every single day! I basically love every food except for mushrooms. I’m the least picky person ever!

What’s something you’re looking forward to right now?
I am super looking forward to my wedding coming up May 20, 2017! It’s a moment I have dreamed of since I was a little girl (cliche, but so true!) I am having the time of my life planning my wedding and I can NOT wait until I get to walk down the aisle! Ahhh, I am getting giddy just thinking about it!

What do you love about photography?
Oh my, this is a hard one! Photography is such a special job. I am capturing the most important day of a couples life. It’s the first time they get to officially spend their life together as one. It’s so humbling knowing that I get to capture these precious moments that they will keep and cherish forever. Weddings bring me so much joy and make my heart so incredibly happy. I always find myself tearing up at weddings because they hold such a special place in my heart. I am so grateful to have the best job in the entire world.

If you were not a photographer, what would be your dream job?
Ok, I know this is about to be so cliche…but this is seriously my dream job. Anything that has to do with weddings is such a dream job to me. I mean, I get to capture all of the pretty, gushy, fabulous details of a couples wedding day! It doesn’t get much better than that. If you can think of another dream job that tops this one (besides eating Chick-Fil-A cookies all day and getting paid for it), please inform me!

What are five of your favorite things?
I’ll keep this one simple and try to think of short answers here because I could go on a serious tangent. 1. Laughing with the people I love until it hurts. 2. Chick-Fil-A chocolate chunk cookies. 3. Puppy kisses! 4. Wrap around porches. 5. Weddings (duh!)

What have you enjoyed about working with Amber so far?
Where do I even begin with this one?! If it wasn’t for Amber, I would not be where I am today. Amber has been a dream come true. She is the best teacher I could ever ask for. I am so thankful that she has taught me her magic and has completely taken me under her wing! Amber is so incredibly talented. She has brought all of my dreams to reality. Amber and I are such a dynamic duo!  I think we are actually sisters, but ya know. It also doesn’t help that she likes food as much as me 🙂
