When I first moved to North Carolina 3 years ago, I knew only a few people and Jared was one of them! I met Jared when I was back in college through mutual friends and when he got engaged to Jessica and they contacted me, I was ecstatic! Jared and Jessica got married at the end of September at the beautiful Highgrove Estate in Fuquay Varina, NC and I was a little worried for them when I saw that the day was calling for storms and oh boy did it storm the morning of their wedding! The skied turned black and it hailed and thundered and I did not think it would ever stop! But, somehow, it did and the skies cleared up and when I showed up to start shooting, there was even blue sky!! Talk about a wedding miracle!! Jessica and Jared decided to do a first look (yayyy) but before they did, they exchanged gifts and oh my goodness..Jared by far wins the prize for best gift I have ever seen given!! He gave Jessica a box full of letters and the first thing she saw was a note that read “Open when..” and then after that there was a different letter for every occasion of their lives from bringing their first kid home from the hospital to their 50th wedding anniversary!! Talk about a tear jerker! I do not think there was a dry eye in the room while Jessica opened this gift!! After their gift exchange and sweet first look, we were able to get all of the bridal party pictures done and thankfully so because right after, the skied turned black again and poured down rain for about 10 minutes right before their ceremony! But that is okay because as fast as the storm rolled in, it rolled out and the seats were dried off and the wedding was under way!! Jessica and Jared…thank you for trusting in me to capture such an important day for the two of you and I wish nothing but the best for you guys!!!
