Let me just start out by saying I PROMISE we take our job seriously! Once you look through all of these images, you might think a little differently but what can I say..we like to have fun!! This year has been an amazzzzzing year for Six Foot Photography and for me personally! I brought on the first ever team member, Krista (you can read more about that here), AND I found out I was pregnant! We ended up shooting 49 weddings this year…22 of those were with me being pregnant! We cannot wait to see what 2017 has in store because I know it is going to be good and now sit back, relax and enjoy laughing at these pictures of what it looks like on the other side of the camera and what all the guests do NOT see at a wedding!!!
The legendary “Veil in the Wind Shot” ends up leaving us with some amazzzzing action shots of people running out of the picture!
Krista’s VERY FIRST wedding she ever shot and she was SUPER excited about throwing the veil!
And when Krista was the lead shooter for a couple weddings, I got the honor of throwing the veil!
And sometimes the wind does what it wants and takes veils OUT of brides hair and I go chasing it to catch it!
Those shots of us “in the veil” mean we really get up and in the veil!
You cannot forget to “fluff” the wedding dress and veil!
And now we begin the infamous Krista shots as she poses for me to find good locations!
Sometimes she just had to stop and dance
Or strike a pose
And other times she just needs a break to eat
This is what happens when Krista is modeling for me and then someone she knows drives by..
Just know, whenever there is a pretty mirror, we WILL find it and take pictures in it!
And Krista LOVES to use her mic as her own personal microphone!
And here is proof that I occasionally work too!
This is my “I want you guys to pose like a giant T” pose
Whenever the bride is done wearing the veil, I am always up for putting it in my hair!
I also occasionally take cell phone pictures as well when the groomsmen ask
When you have to climb under a fence to get a good shot, you do not ask questions
Surprisingly, I rarely eat the cake at weddings but I do love to pretend to cut into it
Whatever it takes to get a good ring shot..even if that means using my phone to prop up shoes!
And I love when I get to use the bridesmaids shawls to stay warm!
And nothing beats a S’mores Bar!
And here is more proof that both Krista and I do work!
And the crazy faces of Krista continues…
This might be my favorite behind the scenes picture! The DJ kept going over to Krista and trying to pull her onto the dance floor and the only way she knew how to hide was to just hide her face behind her camera!!
Not only has Krista been super helpful at weddings, she has also been super helpful when it comes to moving furniture during Bridal shoots and if you cannot tell from her face, she was thrilllllled..
Do not mind Krista while she stands in the middle of the ceremony aisle…
And super big thanks to ALLLLL of my other second shooters this year who have helped make this year go sooo smooth! Thank you Anna, Corey, Kelsey, Annie, Tonya and Alaina!
And I cannot forget that one time I told Alaina to “frolic” in the field and she did!!
Corey always cracks me up and you can catch her dancing and moving her feet at every wedding she is shooting!
And last but not least, I have a HUGE thank you shot out to this girl right here! Krista has been my rock and helped me not go crazy this year! When I first hired her to be a part of my team, I had noooo idea that I would also be gaining a best friend out of it and she has been one of the biggest blessings to me this year!!
Krista and I want to thank alllll of our Six Foot Brides for trusting in us to capture such a special time in your lives! We are able to do our dream jobs because of you and cannot thank you enough! Now here is to 2017!!!!
