Where do I even begin with this post? Maybe I will start at the very VERY beginning. Krista first heard about me from her fiancé who coached football at Cardinal Gibbons with my husband and when she first hired me two years ago (yes you read that right..TWO YEARS ago!), I was convinced she hated me! I was talking with all of her family and friends about her wedding and photography and she was just there as quiet as could be and would barely even crack a smile! When she contacted me that she wanted to use me, I was SHOCKED! Fast forward a few months and Jeff and my husband started working together outside of just football and were always together and some how it was brought up about Krista working with me and I thought I would give it a shot! So Krista and I set up a Panera meeting and we sat there for a couple hours chatting like old friends and I knew I was going to like this girl! As most of you then know, Krista officially joined my Six Foot team (you can read about that here) and then the rest was history! Krista and I pretty much instantly became such close friends and we just worked together so well! We had the same sense of humor and same love of food AND Chick-fil-A and it was an added bonus that our significant others were friends too! We talked about Krista’s upcoming wedding at every wedding we had and joked that after her wedding we would have nothing else to talk about! Then one day, when we were meeting to head out to a wedding..she got out of her car with a big grin on her face and handed me a sweet little gift that asked me to be her photographer AND bridesmaid and I was ecstatic (and said yes of course)! I knew it was going to be a challenge to be both a photographer and a bridesmaid but I knew that there was no one else I would rather play both roles for!
Alright that is enough about me and Krista..lets talk about Krista and Jeff (or Jeffrey as Krista calls him)! I joke with Krista that her and Jeff have been dating since first grade and that is what I tell all of our brides but the truth is that Jeff and Krista started dating in eighth grade (which is practically first grade..amiright?!) Krista spotted Jeff by the water fountain and developed a little crush and the rest was history! Who would have guessed that what started as a little crush would develop into love and marriage so many years later?! Krista and Jeff have such a sweet love for one another and are constantly smiling and laughing with one another and it is just the sweetest thing! Jeff would do absolutely anything for Krista and Krista would do the same for him!!
So now onto the wedding…Krista started checking the weather for her wedding day the first chance she could (big mistake) and would screen shot the weather to me showing that it was suppose to rain and I constantly told her not to worry and that it would all work out! All Krista wanted was to get married on the porch at Rose Hill Plantation in Nashville, North Carolina! and she was worried the rain was going to worry that! The night before her wedding she was STILL checking the weather and it showed storms rolling through in the afternoon but everyone continued to tell her to not worry! Well, we woke up on her wedding day, checked the weather and it called for CLEAR SKIES!! You cannot even imagine how happy Krista was with that!! I remember standing on the porch during her ceremony and thinking that you really could not ask for much better weather! Everything about Krista’s wedding was absolute perfection and the details were to die for!! I could go on and on about how amazzzzing her wedding is but I will let the pictures do the talking..
