When couples ask me if I am willing to travel for their wedding, the answer is always yes, yes, YES!! So when I met with Kaysee and Jimmy and they told me they were getting married at The Crest Center and Pavillion in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, I was thrilled!! I was also extra excited because I was going to get the chance to stay with my friend, Amber (yes I know it is confusing) of Amber Hatley Photography since she had just recently moved to Asheville! The only bummer is that I was going to have to leave my little baby for the first time since he was born for multiple nights!! I drove up to Asheville the day before Kaysee and Jimmy’s wedding and in true North Carolina fashion, it DOWN POURED! And I am not talking about just a little rain and sprinkle, I am talking about rain soooo hard and so much that I could not see five feet in front of my car and then also add in crazy lightning bolts and thunder! And then in even more true North Carolina fashion, the sun was out and beaming one hour after that! So when I woke up on Kaysee and Jimmy’s wedding day and saw the forecast called for rain, I was not surprised or worried! And although it rained while we were getting Kaysee dressed in their cute little airBnB place, I do not think it rained the rest of the day! Kaysee and Jimmy were able to get married with the rolling hills as their backdrop and it was absolutely stunning! Kaysee and Jimmy both light up when they see each other and it was sooo fun to not only photograph their wedding, but witness their love for one another! I am pretty sure they both had giant smiles on their faces the entire day!! We were able to sneak away for some sunset pictures right as the sun was dipping behind the mountains and I LOVE when my couples are up for getting so more photos during sunset and they always turn out to be my favorite images!! Kaysee and Jimmy also did something that I definitely think should be a new tradition at weddings..before their sparkler exit, they had everyone leave to go line up and they shared one more dance together as husband and wife and it was soooo sweet!!!
