When Callie first asked me to take her family photos, my initial thought was fear! I had no idea how well I would be able to take someone else’s family photos. I take my sisters family photos all the time but those kids know me! This would be little kids that would have no idea who I am! BUT I do like challenging myself, especially when it comes to photography. And with Callie being a photographer herself and not having photos since her youngest was a newborn, I knew I HAD to give them a try! Let me tell you… they did not disappoint!

I think there is something SO different about taking family photos than taking engagement photos. When taking engagement photos, my couples do exactly what I say so I find those photos super easy and I know exactly what I am going to get… family photos on the other hand… with little kids… you never really know what you are going to get! BUT with that also comes such a feeling of accomplishment when you get photos that turn out! After this session, I felt accomplished!
