Something I think we forget to do as parents is to embrace the imperfection, especially when it comes to family photos. Everyone wants those photos with their little family perfectly smiling at the camera as if their child did not have the biggest temper tantrum five minutes earlier in the car. I remember when we took family photos last year and Charleigh Fae literally screamed and cried 97% of the session and I got in the car and I just cried because I felt like our photos were ruined! But then I came to the realization that those photos captured our current life! Life with little kids is far from perfect and there are good days and there are bad days but they are OUR days! The messy, the crazy, the silly, the chaos, those are the days we are living in and sometimes I want to pull my hair out but sometimes I sit back and realize I’m going to miss these days!! So if you are looking for a photographer to capture you and your crazy, not perfect, family, I am your girl!! And if you are looking for a photographer to capture everyone sitting perfect and proper with not a hair misplaced, I can send some other photographers your way!! But I really challenge you parents to embrace the chaos in your family photos because life with kids is far from perfect but it is beautiful!! I know family photos are an investment but invest in a photographer who is going to capture your perfectly imperfect family!! And this sweet family did an amazing job of just letting go and having fun and I loved the way their photos came out because of that!!
