Being a Raleigh Family Lifestyle Photographer has given me the ability to meet so many amazing families around this area! This session though, was a bit different! 

Meet the Geil Family. It feels like I have known them for forever which is probably because Brittany is my older sister so I literally have known her my entire life! Brittany started dating Brian when she was a senior in high school and I was a freshman. He basically turned into the brother I never had!

Brittany and Brian got married and then had Brylee, Brenna, Brielle and Bracen. Try saying that three times fast!

When I first graduated college and started pursing photography, Brittany was pregnant with Brylee and was one of my very first subjects and needless to say, I have been photographing them and their growing family ever since!

So when I came to visit my family in California recently, naturally Brittany wanted me to photograph her family! Little ones grow so fast and are always changing so you want to make sure to take advantage of as many photos as you can!

Oh family photos. You plan them for weeks (maybe months) and bribe your kids with candy and ice cream as long as they will smile at the “nice lady” with the camera! But lets be honest..does it ever happen that perfectly? What if it did not have to be like that?

My goal for family photos is to skip the crazy posing with the forced smiles and instead get natural photos with genuine love between you and your family! If your toddler has a melt down in the middle of the session..guess what?! That is ok AND normal!!
