Let’s face it. Planning a wedding can be stressful! AND THEN having to plan a wedding during a national pandemic?! Well let’s just say it is not for the faint of heart! During this entire Corona season, I have been getting email after email from all my brides about them postponing their wedding and so when I got an email from Lauren saying they were going for it no matter what, my heart was sooo happy! Their initial wedding was suppose to have 150+ guests but instead what they had was around 40 of their closest family and friends and I have to say, there is something SOO special about a small, intimate wedding (maybe I am bias because I had one myself)!

Lauren and Connor got married at one of my favorite venues called Summerfield Farms which is in Summerfield, NC which is just right outside of Greensboro. As soon as I walked into the bridal cottage, I was greeted by smiling faces and you never would have known about all the craziness that was going around in the world because all that mattered that day was getting Lauren and Connor married! Lauren and Connor shared the sweetest first look and after that, we were able to walk around all over the beautiful property at Summerfield! They decided to have their ceremony inside the barn because they did not want to have to be outside to endure the North Carolina summer heat, although I do have to say, for later June, their wedding day weather was wonderful and was not too hot or humid!

During dinner, we were able to sneak away for some sunset couple portraits and right after we started, a giant cloud came and blocked the sun which is always the biggest bummer for me but we still continued on with photos! Although their reception was still going on, I asked Lauren and Connor if they minded waiting just a few extra minutes because it looked like the sun was going to peak back out from under the clouds and I really wanted to get some sun photos and they agreed and let me tell you..it was DEFINITELY worth it!

Lauren and Connor, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your wedding, especially in these crazy times and I am soo happy for the two of you and absolutely loved being a part of your day!!
